Build your glossary from your past translations

Building a glossary term by term takes hours. If you already have reviewed translations of your own, you don't need to spend them.

My Terms · document pair used to extract terms

How it works

  1. Go to My Terms and open (or create) your glossary.
  2. Upload an original document and its already-reviewed translation. You can use a pair you already have saved in My Terms.
  3. The platform compares the two texts and suggests matching term pairs.
  4. Review the list and confirm the ones you want to keep.

Good to know

  • You have the final say — nothing gets added to the glossary without your confirmation.
  • The closer the documents are to what you translate day to day, the better the suggestions.
  • You can repeat this with several document pairs to keep enriching the same glossary.

And there's more

Style, custom instructions, and the knowledge base for each set of My Terms now apply to every document type, not just some. We also fixed a bug where the glossary wasn't being applied to manuscripts.

Tips for a good extraction

  • Upload a pair from the same document: the original and its translation, not two similar documents.
  • The more thoroughly reviewed the translation, the better the suggestions.
  • Repeat with several pairs of the same document type — the glossary keeps getting sharper.

FAQ

Does it use up credits? Term extraction doesn't consume translation credits.

Can I discard what it suggests? Yes — you review the list and confirm only what you want.
